In this moving testimony, Rachel recounts the loss of her parents, the terrifying final roundup that claimed every remaining Jew in her town except her and her brother, the emotional scars that followed liberation, and the painful separation from Léon after the war. She also shares how, years later, she and her brother reunited in America and dedicated themselves to honoring the family that had saved them by ensuring they were recognized as Righteous Among the Nations.
In this course about Rachel’s story, you will learn to:
- Define the Holocaust as the planned and systematic, state-sponsored persecution and murder of European Jews by Nazi Germany and its collaborators between 1933 and 1945.
